Art and science are more closely linked than is sometimes realised . This not-too-profound talk will look at some of the ways science has affected art and how,perhaps more surprisingly, art has influenced science.  Bring a pen or pencil with you to take part in a light-hearted  competition .

Building the Beetham Tower
David Green: Ian Simpson Architects Ltd

David Green will present a detailed talk about the design and construction of the Beetham Hilton Tower.   He will cover the whole process of creating such an iconic building from the initial design concepts, the planning process and the construction of the building, right through to the experience of living there.
